DART, in collaboration with NANA (Northwoods Are Neighborhood Network) and NAPN (Northwoods Area Parent Network), finished a Street Art Project at the intersection of Chestnut Drive and McClave Drive on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
More than 60 community volunteers participated in this project.
The day began at 7 a.m. with a team using power washers and leaf blowers to clean and dry the project area in preparation for painting.
Afterwards, the stencils were aligned to get ready for the painting crew arriving at 9 a.m.!

The Paint crew was fantastic! Even some of our youngest neighbors joined in, starting to fill in the blocks with color, likely choosing their favorite colors to work with.

Next some of the adults (young at heart) who remained to complete the details.

The community united to make Colorful Crossings a tremendous success!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our DART, NANA, and NAPN Volunteers, City of Doraville Council Members, City of Doraville Staff, City of Doraville Art Commission, City of Doraville Public Works, Doraville Police Department, Hercules Sealcoat, as well as NAPN and DART Donors. Your contributions of time, materials, and donations make community art projects like this possible! Each of you is a brushstroke on the canvas that is DART.
DART is dedicated to creating community through art, and Colorful Crossings allowed us to create ART with our COMMUNITY!
ART IS THE POINT.
Awesome!!!!
