Air-Dry Clay Workshop

Service Description

Entry to Intermediate Level | Last Sunday of each month from 2:00 – 5:00 PM! Ready to get your hands into something creative? Join us for a relaxed, hands-on air-dry clay class, perfect for beginners and those with some experience looking to grow their skills! We will be working with DAS Modeling air-dry clay, using cookie cutters and sculpting tools to bring the clay to life! Small children have the option to play with foam clay if they prefer. Polymer clay is also available for those interested. Staff will handle the baking for any polymer pieces made in class. Each month, we’ll explore a new project or technique. You’ll learn how to work, shape, and build with clay. Feel free to come with an idea in mind if there is something you would like to try! We are happy to help your clay creation come to life. What to Expect: • All tools and materials included • Foam clay available for children • Polymer clay also available • A new creative project each month • Last Sunday of each month from 2 PM to 5 PM • Take-home: You will be able to take your work home on class day, but the clay will need 1 - 3 days to dry completely. Feb 2/22 - Candy treat / Sweat Tart candle holders - Valentines Mar 3/29 - Clover coasters - St. Patrick's Apr 4/26 - Clay bunnies - Spring / Easter May 5/31 - Flowers Bouquet - Mother's Day June 6/28 - Throw dish / phone + glasses holder - Father's day July 7/26 - Popsicle / Flag / Star earings or pendants - Independence Day Aug 8/30 - Decorating light switch covers - Summer Refresh Sept 9/27 - Tea lights with back splash (with traditional ceramic + textile patterns) - Hispanic Heritage Month Oct 10/25 - Ghost or Jack-O-Lantern Tea lights - Halloween Nov 11/29 - Pie or Witch Hat incense holders / ring dishes - Indigenous People's Day Thanksgiving Dec 12/27 - Star candle holders / ornaments - Christmas ** participants can return during an Open Studio to add additional paint and embellishments.
