Artist opportunity in Doraville:

The city of Doraville is seeking an artist to create a dynamic narrative mural about the history of the Fleming Arena building and the people involved in the creation of it.
Artists with professional mural experience please apply with several examples of previous work. Artists are responsible for all materials to create mural.

Located at Honeysuckle Park, Fleming Arena is a 17,000 square foot Facility that includes two basketball courts and two volleyball courts. The bleachers within the arena can seat up to 600. The arena also houses two full size classrooms, locker and shower facilities, a concession stand, and the Recreation Department Offices. Fleming Arena was named for former Councilman Forest Fleming.
All licenses, copyrights, and intellectual property rights will be retained by the artist. Photos of completed murals will be used in social media for both the City of Doraville and DArt. The artists will always be credited. Mural designs not chosen will not be used in any capacity by either the city or DArt, however, we will retain your artist’s information in a database so we can contact you for further art opportunities in the future. If you do not want to be part of the database, please let us know.
